5th Grade Wildcats

Welcome to the World of 5th Grade!

Fifth grade is a bridge from the primary experience to the middle school years.  It is a year of growth: academically, physically, emotionally, and socially. It's a time to build independence and set up skills to be successful, lifelong learners.

Our goal is to provide a safe friendly classroom environment in which to learn. To achieve a positive learning atmosphere, we encourage the students to Be Kind, Be Safe and Do the Right Thing.

As a fifth grade team, we are looking forward to a wonderful and productive year! We truly believe that education is a joint effort and view all input as an integral part of this success.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Ellis, Mrs.  Jacobsen, & Mrs. Rossman

About Us

Mrs. Ellis

I'm Mrs. Ellis and I am a proud LCS Wildcat alum, attending from fourth grade to eighth grade and then graduating from Arrowhead. Before coming back to LCS, I taught sixth grade and fourth grade. My husband, Andrew, and I have a kindergartener named Sloane and a hunting dog named Calvin. Between all the adventures with parenting, we love to travel and I love reading, writing, and musical theater (whether that's helping with stage crew for the LCS musical, singing songs in the car, or being in a show at Lake Country Playhouse).

Mrs. Jacobsen

I am thrilled to be teaching math to our 5th grade Wildcats!  I live in Hartland, WI with my family. My husband and I met while serving in the US Peace Corps Paraguay.  We have been blessed with 4 sons and two rescue dogs.  The majority of my teaching experience has been served as a Gifted & Talented Coordinator K-8.  One of my favorite roles has been teaching Makerspace & robotics classes. I enjoy biking & swimming.  Fifth grade is an incredible year for growth, independence & friendships. I truly feel lucky to get to create many memorable experiences with you this year.

Mrs. Rossman

I'm Mrs. Rossman and I am excited to be teaching 5th grade at LCS this year.  Before coming to LCS, I taught 6th Grade for 8 years.  My family and I live in Waukesha.  My husband, Alex, and I have a 5 year old daughter named Adelyn and a 3 year old son named Edison.  As a family we enjoy spending time up north and doing anything outdoors.  In my free time, I enjoy reading books to my children, taking our family dog, Tikka, for walks, and I like to run outside.
