Our 2014 production, "Hide and Seek," asked the question, "What would it be like to play a game of hide and seek against your worst fears?" This show focused on one color guard member, with the rest of the band representing her worst fears that were out to get her. There were also several unique musical moments, including clarinet and accordion solos that "attacked" the guard soloist.
The first movement was the beginning of the game, and had several moments where the band frightened the guard soloist. The second movement represented a break in the game, where the soloist found a safe place to hide, although she was found at the end. The final movement represents a dark ending of the game; the band overwhelmed the guard soloist in a furious percussion feature as the show ended.
This year marked the band's most successful competitive outcome to date, seeing their first ever appearance at MCBA State Finals.
