Just when I think Jr BOB can't get any better I am proven wrong. We had over 50 students participate this year and the projects were phenomenal. Take a look at what these second and third grade students accomplished!
The Library Media Center is pleased to continue with the Junior Battle of the Books for 2nd, and 3rd grade students for a 8th year!
Jr. BOB participation is strictly voluntary and designed to be a fun engaging opportunity for students to share their love of books and reading! Our theme this year is Perseverance and all students will read a book of their choice that fits the theme.
Students will be working independently.
Reading will take place predominately at home, parents are encouraged to work with their students!
This year's Jr BOB 2023 will feature Graphic Novels.
Graphic novels can be fiction, non-fiction, history, fantasy, or anything in-between. Graphic novels are similar to comic books because they use sequential art to tell a story. Unlike comic books, graphic novels are generally stand-alone stories with more complex plots.

This year's Jr BOB topic: Historical Fiction.
Students in Junior BOB are asked to share ONE book. The book they share may be in one of the following formats:
The creation or writing of scripts is designed to be done at home. The library staff will provide assistance with filming and the technology needed to film; in addition to how the final project will be shared with the group. Please have students ask for assistance prior to the last day! We can not guarantee we will have time to help everyone, if students wait until the end.
