When 7th grade students were asked,

"What was your expectation

when you first heard you were taking PATHfinder

and how has that now changed?"

Here's how they answered!

I thought that it was going to be a map studying class because my uncle who was in the military said they had a course about maps that was called pathfinder. But now I really like pathfinder and I like what we learn about.

When I first heard it, I had no idea what it meant, but now I know that it focuses on passion and social skills.

I was expecting more of the arts activity but now I know that PathFinder means finding our strengths and using them to help the community.

I was not excited and I thought it would be a super hard class. I say that now I really like the class and you make it very fun for us. I like working with my group.

I thought we would be talking more about our jobs and it surprised me when you told us we would be working on slides explaining why something was important.

In the beginning I was all "What is Pathfinder?" but when I started to learn what we did in class it was really exciting and fun.

I thought it was about finding your passion and what careers wanted to accomplish but I saw that it was a lot about teamwork and projects.

I have always thought that PATHfinder was a important and enjoyable class because, I gives people a chance to work together and I gives a idea on what we might want to be when we grow up.

I thought that Pathfinder would only be Thrively. Now, I know it is a lot more than that! It's about our passion and what we can do to change the world.

When I first heard I was taking pathfinder I thought that we would find our path. By that I mean our career, I thought pathfinder helped you find your career.

I thought it would be really boring, but it actually is really fun.

I thought pathfinder was a way to interact with others but now I know that it means more then that

My expectation when I first heard that I was taking PATHFinder was that I was confused of what it was and what you were learning about in this class.

I didn’t have any expectations because I didn’t know what PATHfinder was but now I know what it is and I really like PATHfinder.

The only thing I did not expect were the projects and the world problems and how we can solve them. My first expectation was only to learn about our careers, but that has changed for the better, as well.
