MVP is always looking for passionate individuals who share our desire to create a better tomorrow for our community!  MVP will be developing committees to plan and execute events, facilitate programs and assist in the process of re-building Myerstown.  If you would like to be a part of building a better future for Myerstown, please fill out the Volunteer Application.

COMMITTEES:

• Promotions and events: Market the unique characteristics of Myerstown by creating new image campaigns, retail promotions, and special events, and manage media relations for special events and promotions.

• Block party: Organizes annual block party event, held on the 4th Saturday in September.

• Holiday parade: Organizes annual holiday parade, held the Saturday after Thanksgiving

• Organization: Prepare and implement a fundraising plan, produce a newsletter, manage website, coordinate media relations, recruit, develop, and recognize volunteers

• Economic Vitality: Identify new market opportunities for the traditional commercial area, find new uses for historic commercial buildings, and stimulate investment in property.

• Design: Shape the physical character of Myerstown as a place that is attractive to shoppers, investors, business owners, and visitors.

Board members are local business men and women, individuals or organizations who are passionate about restoring Myerstown and building the community.  Board members must commit to an annual financial contribution, and must remain active by attending meetings and helping to facilitate the oversight of the organization.  Interested persons should fill out the application below and we will contact you to arrange a time to meet and discuss Board membership.
