What is the login for (parents) to use?
The school district is currently working to get parents their own logins to the Buzz platform. The district or your student’s teacher will reach out when more information is available. Please make sure a home email and home address are updated in PowerSchool for this to be accessible.
What hours should my student be online?
Students should be logging into Buzz 5 days a week. Hours can be flexible but students need to be available to meet with teachers during the typical school day for your grade.
How do you bookmark the Buzz website or any site?
Please see the Resources tab for further information.
How often should I check email?
Students should check emails once a day at a minimum. Email is the main way teachers are passing information to students. Students should also be checking Buzz for teacher comments, assignments and due dates.
When should students respond to teachers’ emails?
If a teacher sends an email with a question included a student should respond to that question. Students should also email to confirm that they will be at a meet that has been requested by the teacher.
How do you share a document?
Please see the Resources tab for further information.
How do you take a screenshot?
Please see the Resources tab for further information.
What are attendance expectations?
Students are expected to attend or log into Buzz the same number of days that the school week is. Most weeks this is 5 days a week. Students can login anytime between Monday through Sunday. (An example of less than 5 days would be Thanksgiving week. This week has 2 school days, so BVDOO students would be required to login 2 days Monday through Sunday.)
Please make sure that we are regularly checking in on BUZZ (login to Buzz at least five different days throughout the seven day week). I have attached the district expectations for attendance, as well as what happens when so many hours are missed. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Holliday @ sholliday@mybvls.org.

When are assignments due?
Most teachers are using due dates within Buzz or using a process to communicate due dates with you. These due dates keep students on track for finishing on time. Students will have the entire semester to complete the assigned assignments and assessments for the courses in which they are enrolled.
How do you use speak-to-type (dictation) or the read-to-me feature on the Chromebook?
Please see the Resources tab for further information.
