The SEA Teacher Project or the “Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia” is a project that aims to provide opportunity for pre-service student teachers from universities in Southeast Asia to have teaching experiences (practicum) in schools in other countries in Southeast Asia.

Objectives of the Project

To enable pre-service student teachers to develop their teaching skills and pedagogy.

To encourage the pre-service student teachers to practice their English skills.

To allow the pre-service student teachers to gain a broader regional and world view.

To expose future teachers to diverse teaching and learning situations and opportunities, and the value of flexibility.

About the teacher...

Grace and peace! I am Djevonah Macaya Ogoy, but you may simply address me as Teacher Von. I stand at the age of 21, embracing the journey of education with youthful enthusiasm. My roots trace back to the Philippines, where I proudly hold Filipino nationality.

"Teach to serve the world" is my guiding mantra, and I am on the path to fulfilling this mission. Currently, I am a fourth-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English at Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan.

I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible opportunity I've had to embark on an amazing and transformative teaching experience as a student exchange pre-service teacher in Thailand. This initiative, made possible by SEAMEO, has broadened my horizons and deepened my passion for education.

As a dedicated educator, I aspire to instill knowledge, curiosity, and a love for learning in my students. Together, we can illuminate the path to a brighter future.
