Allen Companies is a design and build company founding in 1999 by Jeremy Felstead. They strive to deliver the highest quality service throughout all stages of the design and build process in both commercial and residential markets. Allen Companies is family owned and operated, with deep local roots. Jeremy started Allen Companies after graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelors of Science degree in Architectrue. With the help of his business partner H.C. Wood, Allen Companies has been sucessfully operating for over 20 years.

THE COMMUNICATION PROBLEM

After brief communication with Jeremy over email, we have learned that Allen Companies faces internal communication issues. In his own words, "We struggle to document selections and changes on projects and then making sure that our team is executing them in the field."

DATA COLLECTION

Interviews

Hold a zoom meeting with everyone from our team, and with the head of the company to discuss the lack of communication within the organizational channels. We will achieve this by asking a series of questions that will give us a better understanding of the issue and how we can fix it.

Surveys

Our group will create surveys to send out to the employees. These surveys will ask about employee satisfaction with communication amongst the company, while simultaneously requesting input on our suggestions given to fix said existing communication deficiencies. Multiple surveys will be sent out congruent to organizational changes for feedback purposes.
