Dear Tenure Review Committee:
Thank you for the opportunity to present my first tenure year portfolio for your review. It has been a rewarding endeavor. Over the last two months, I have established relationships with faculty and embedded information literacy sessions into their courses. I have provided references to the Skyline Community and learned about their particular needs and what makes them unique. Working with them has reinvigorated my passion for librarianship, which is detailed on my main page. There, I also provide a brief description of myself and my perspectives on the current challenges for our library and how we can overcome them. Under a tab for self-assessment, I describe my contributions to and participation in the college's activities, my professional development experiences, and the development of Student Learning Outcomes.
In another section, I provide an overview, lesson plan, and materials for two courses, ENGL 100 and ESOL 400. The former was a 30-minute presentation on how to search using library databases. The former was a more in-depth library instruction divided into two two-hour sessions. There is a separate tab for my philosophy of providing reference consultations and two examples that occurred during this evaluation period. Finally, I provide a list of professional development activities and future goals in additional sections.
Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity to serve the Skyline community and all of your support, feedback, and guidance.
