You're going to run into questions in this course. That's expected; we are learning A LOT together in this course! We want to make sure you know that we are here to support you as work through the course and work on building your online course. Below you'll find the different ways that you'll be able to contact us, and how we're planning to contact you. Please don't hesitate to reach out for help if you need it!

How to contact us

Virtual Office Hours

Virtual Office Hours will be held weekly via Zoom on most Tuesdays 2pm-3pm and Thursdays 10am-11am. Office Hours are a drop-in opportunity for you to get your questions answered, get help with their coursework, and/or check-in with your colleagues and I and hear about what we're are all learning. If you're unable to make office hours, no worries, you can book an individual appointment with your QOTL Team using the following links:

Q&A Forums

You can also post general questions and comments in the 'Questions or Comments About Unit X?' discussion forums that are available at the end of each unit. This is a great way to get a variety of answers to the things you're wondering about, from us and your colleagues. We will do our best to check our Q&A forums 3 times throughout the week, so you should see a response from us within 2 days.

Conversations (Inbox)

If you'd like to contact us privately, you can use the Conversations tool within Canvas, by clicking on the Inbox button on the left. We will do our best to respond to Inbox messages within 24 hours during the week. We'll respond to messages that come in over the weekend on Mondays.

We prefer that you use the Canvas inbox to message us privately, so that we can keep track of your messages and so that you can get some experience using the Inbox tool in this course. But if you ever need to just send us an email, that works too! We do our best to respond to emails within 24 hours during the week. How we will contact you

Weekly Canvas Announcements

These will outline our due dates, share course updates and new or interesting information we've found that we think you might find helpful. We'll also highlight your wonderful ideas, suggestions and work in these announcements as well.

Feedback on Discussions & Activities

We try to give feedback on all of your work in the week after it was due. If you submit something late, we might not get back to it for two weeks, but we do our best to go back and catch late submissions. If you submitted something over a week ago and you haven't gotten feedback on it, feel free to send us an Inbox message to check in. Also, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions on the feedback we've given you. We're happy to clarify our feedback whenever you need us to!

Weekly Discussions

We will be reading all of your graded discussion posts and we do our best to respond to each of your initial posts at least. We'll also send out summaries of our discussions every few weeks, so we can keep track of all of the wonderful things we share and discover together there.

Gentle Nudges

If you happen to fall behind in the course, you might get a check-in message from us, seeing if there's anything we can do to help you continue in the course. Keep an eye out for these and if you do need any help, don't hesitate to let us know!
