Welcome to SMCCCD Open Education Week 2021!

The OER Leads for the District have curated a series of events that connect with Open Education Week, or #oeweek. We want to connect all of our faculty colleagues to the wide array of webinars and discussions within our district and across the country. We know that student access to their course materials is a significant barrier–not just during these times, but generally speaking–and that we as faculty owe it to our students to ensure that they are using high quality course materials that they can afford. The best way we can do that is through the use of open educational resources, or OER.

This first week of March is dedicated to open-source materials and their adoption, as well as to breaking down the barriers to education. With that in mind, we have the following slate of events, and we encourage everyone to participate. Join us in our webinars and discussions! Add your voice to our daily Padlet questions below! Let us know how we can help you find the best resources out there in the open-source world!
