Mandatory Training is a professional requirement for students as stipulated by the university, placement providers, the CSP and HCPC.
You are required to complete all mandatory training requirements prior to placement block 1:
3 practical modules: Moving and Handling, Basic Life Support, Infection Control.
4 online modules: Equality and Diversity, Fire Awareness, Preventing Radicalisation, Information Governance.
Mandatory training will take place prior to going out on placement. You will be informed when your mandatory training will be taking place as this will be on your timetables for the practical modules. Information will be communicated to you regarding the online modules such as how to access them. Please note that failure to complete your mandatory training will result in your placement being cancelled or delayed so you must attend and complete these competencies. Yearly updates are then required for some modules which you will be directed to when appropriate.
