INTRODUCTION:-
High Storrs School is a mixed secondary school and sixth form college with academy status located at High Storrs Road, South Yorkshire, Sheffield, S11 7LH.
High Storrs School was established in 1933.
The school boasts modern facilities to support learning and extracurricular activities.
This includes well-equipped classrooms, science laboratories, IT suites, art studios, sports facilities such as gymnasiums, playing fields, and outdoor spaces for recreational activities.
PROJECT SUMMARY:-
New library learning center with classrooms and IT Suites.
The objective of this project is to design and deliver a new Library Learning Centre with integrated classrooms and IT suites on an existing educational site.
The new library learning center will be built on the rear of the existing side of the High Storrs School building.
This website aims to provide a phasing plan for the design and delivery of the High Storrs School Library.
The layout of the new library learning building has been built on one floor which includes all programs on one floor.
This library is built for multiple purposes which include learning desks, classrooms, book compartments, reception, etc.
SCOPE:-
Design and building of a brand-new, state-of-the-art library learning center.
Integration of IT suites and classrooms at the Library Learning Center.
Infrastructure on the site will be improved to make room for the new project.
PROPOSAL:-
The proposed new building will provide two main functions in the library:
IT Suites
Classrooms
Library:-
The library will include study areas and group study rooms.
There will be access only for students and faculties not for the public.
Library will be having 24*7 access.
1. IT Suites:-
This includes the computer lab where there will be access to desktop computers, laptops, etc.
Students can use these facilities for their learning activities, and software training.
2. Classrooms:-
A flexible learning environment where students may participate in both independent study and scheduled class activities can be created by integrating classrooms within the library.
With a variety of library materials and tools at their disposal, students can collaborate on projects, share resources, and share ideas in classrooms inside library settings.
