What were the best things about your experience?
New ‘behind the scenes’ experiences of the festival.
Made to instantly feel like a family in the campsite.
The festival staff are super helpful and lovely
Meeting new people
Seeing all the acts perform
Having nice weather
The people who I camped/worked with, the acts who I got to see at the festival and just the whole experience in general.
The opportunity to help people
Meeting and connecting with different people
My first ever camping 😁😊
Having time off, giving me chance to watch some bands.
Free food & finding old friends in all manner of jobs (small world I guess).
Met performers, making new friends and seeing bands I admire
I was able to mingle with individuals from all backgrounds,
I was a member of a team that was extremely enthusiastic
Getting to go backstage and watch/meet acts
Getting to see all the bands
Not having really long shifts
Nice to be helpful towards the festival goers
When was working got to see some acts
Overall was one of the best weekends of my life
Meeting lots of new people. Gaining an insight into festivals and how they work. Getting training and helping people.
People, engagement, opportunity
Meeting new people, doing something different with course mates, the festival overall
Meeting new people, camping, time management
Experiencing the festival and seeing new acts, meeting some lovely people I’ll stay in touch with and having the peace of mind with the security of our private camp and having staff members with us.
What would you say to anyone thinking about it for next year?
Throw yourself in. I made lots of new contacts for the future in this industry and memories too good to forget.
Do it!!!!
Get stuck in and do it , you've only got one life so make sure you live it and make the most of it!!
It's alot of walking but it's definitely worth it!!
It's a good opportunity to work the festival if you've not managed to get tickets and you have mates going ,as you can meet up with them after your shifts and your days off!! So you have time to party with them!!
Smile and have a good attitude on your shift as you never know who you could be speaking to.
Don't think just go !!!!! 😻😻😻😻
I would say that you should absolutely go for it.
For me, it was such an amazing experience from the people I worked with to actually being in the arena working. I enjoyed every moment of it including the camping.
If you are not sure camping is for you, or even a festival, go for it! It was so out of my comfort zone but I had the best time, I surprised myself! I met fab people, saw brilliant music and really enjoyed it!
Bring sufficient alcohol, you will sober up in the Bar queue.
Do it! Even if you dont like camping! Its an amazing experience.
Dont worry if you dont know people going, we all become a family by the end of it! Also, the opportunities are like no others and some of these chances you might never get!
If somebody wants to know how happy I am from the event by simply participating, there aren't enough words to say it.
100% get involved while you can and make the most of it, it’s great personal & professional experience
Bring a hot water bottle.
