In my opinion, fall is arguably the best season of the year. Just think about it; sweater weather, football games, crunchy leaves- I could go on and on. Obviously, the first thing I think about when I think of fall is pumpkins. As soon as the calendar turns August, all I can think about is the fun fall drinks that the trendy coffee shops will put out. And call me basic or whatever- but fall is just the best.
As described in the Starbucks menu, the pumpkin cream cold brew is cold brew sweetened with vanilla, and then topped with a pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice—a super-smooth fall treat. I would 100% agree that this is a lovely fall treat. It is everything you would expect when you order it. Honestly, Starbucks really captured the essence of fall to a T with this drink. Now, on with the ratings.
First up: taste. The pumpkin-flavored cold foam is just the right amount of flavor while still tasting like cream foam. It isn't overwhelming and tastes calmly sweet. Now, the cold brew was not as strong as I would like. I could definitely taste the water in it, but I guess that is what you would expect when getting cold brew and not espresso. But, the blend of the sweet foam and the slightly bitter coffee really balanced each other out to make a not-too-sweet drink. The pumpkin spice on top was a nice touch, but the weird clumps kind of clashed with the smooth texture of the coffee. Overall, 8/10 for taste.
Second: price. This drink is, as expected from Starbucks, a little pricey. It was $4.75 for a 16oz grande cup. But, when ordering a seasonal drink that isn't just flavored coffee, it is pretty justified. So, 7.5/10 for the price.
Third: quality. This drink was smoother than butter. The foam was rich, and the vanilla coffee complimented the pumpkin very nicely. Bus, as I said earlier, the cold brew was a little watery. 7.5/10 for quality.
Finally: aesthetic. Totally fantastic fall vibes. The sprinkle of pumpkin spice on top of the foam added some lovely contrast for some great photos. 10/10 would Instagram.
Overall evaluation: 8.25/10. Beautiful, wonderful, magnificent. This drink speaks to my soul. It cheers me up on a gloomy day. Yummy yummy yummy. Totally would recommend, go and get it. Have a lovely day :)
