Reimu Endou

Reimu is a fairly upbeat and positive person who enjoys making sassy remarks and frequently engages in verbal banter, in contrast to her melancholic lore and appearance. She is perceived as a hot-blooded person when interacting with her fellow Livers. but in reality, she genuinely enjoys their company.

After Reimu woke up as a ghost, she formed a pact with a mysterious, shadowy demon with round white eyes. These demons took up residence in her hat and took away her memories. "Forget-me-not flowers" is a recurring motif. After some time, Reimu remembers her lost memories. Raised by a loving Japanese family, she was hated by strangers and was violently drowned by some mob. In the present day, Reimu has a magical skull staff that transforms her into the queen of the underworld. The demons in her hat is shown to be more benevolent light, having to watch over Reimu.
