Tyler Gregory Okonma, or more professionally known as Tyler, The Creator, is an LA born rapper who to me has changed the entire industry. Tyler got his first start with the collective known as Odd Future, of which he was a founding member. Odd Future is a far cry musically from the current Tyler. Odd Future's genre can be described by many as horrorcore, which strikes many as juvenile and petulant. Horrorcore's main draw is that it takes things that are extremely taboo or dark and disturbing and make light of it in the worst of ways. If you listen to an early Tyler song or any Odd Future song, I strongly recommend you don't take the lyrics to heart. Flash forward to today however and Tyler, The Creator is one of the foremost and avant-garde musicians in the industry.
