Favorite Album

Call Me If You Get Lost is Tyler, The Creator's sixth studio album, and my personal favorite.  From songs like Wusyaname, Lumberjack,  and Run It Up to my favorite, Sweet/ I Thought You Wanted To Dance, Tyler showcases excellent knowledge of not only rap but deeper musical elements themselves. You can truly tell the difference in Tyler's maturity if you listen to one song from this album compared to his first. This album is a great showcase of how Tyler uses legitimate musical harmonies and other techniques to express himself rather than simply using explicit language to garner reactions. I think that because of Tyler's past success he has now been encouraged to really explore different sides to rap and this album does a great job of that. The album has been heavily influenced by jazz, reggae, soul and other genre's  adjacent to rap. This was the first album I listened to from Tyler and I fell in love with it immediately.
