Potted Sports was a morning filled with excitement and teamwork. All children worked hard in their teams to gain points for their houses. Thanks to everyone that came along to support the event and we look forward to seeing you at our competitive Sports Day on the 6th June.
Huge well done to Brodie who ended up winning! In second place was Cawdor, third place Darnaway and in fourth place was Darnaway!
‘It was a lovely surprise to find out that I have been nominated for School Sport Volunteer of the year by Active Schools in Moray. At Greenwards, I lead the P6 & P7 netball team along with Mrs Ross. It has been great to see the development of the children’s netball skills throughout the year. As a keen netballer, I am hoping that I have inspired them with my passion for netball to continue playing for years to come. This year, I have also been a part of the Moray forum led by Netball Scotland where we have been developing a netball pathway with the hope that it will become easier for children to continue playing netball into adulthood.'

At the beginning of May a majority of our Primary 7's embarked on a week of developing teamwork skills, communication, resilience building and most importantly FUN! They were given the opportunity to develop all of their DYW skills, whilst showing our school values at all times. Check out some of what we got up to on our P7M and P7R Class News in the Pupil News tab.
Today a group of children from P3D, P6G, P6R, P7M and P7R represented their classes with a visit to UHI Moray to showcase their big builds. Each class had created their own replica of a Scottish landmark. The recreations were: P3D, Darnaway Castle; P6G, Hampden Park; P6R Lossie Lighthouse; P7M, Swilcan Bridge; P7R, Glenfinnan Viaduct. Well done to all the classes for showing amazing teamwork and creativity. Whilst at the Big Build, the children had to present their builds, as well as getting the opportunity to take part in some different STEM activities.
