There are a few ways that you can use this information:
Content
Simply put, if you are unsure whether a student has visited a Module or Topic, you can very quickly tell. This also makes it all the more important to add other D2L Activities like Discussions, Dropboxes, and Quizzes to the content area via the Add Existing tool.
Course Access
If you are not sure that a student has been even accessing the course, you can view the course access. This will, at the very least, tell you how many times they have accessed the course in the last 30 days. This can be important if you find a student falling behind and also for understanding (at least somewhat) how Intelligent Agents work.
Discussions
This can be useful if you are doing an overall discussion grade and just want to review their responses (or lack thereof).Â
Dropbox
While this does not give you as much information as the Dropbox Submission log, it can give you a quick overview of the dropboxes that they did submit to.
Quizzes
This can be helpful if you want to quickly see what topic(s) a student has struggled with. You can then contact the student and address the necessary gaps in their knowledge.
