Before your warm up: CHECK YOUR POSTURE!

Deep Breaths

Slowly breathe in and out through your mouth.

Breathe & Hiss

Breathe in through your mouth then "hiss" air out (tssss)

Long tone

Take a deep breathe from your mouth and play a long, steady tone. You can do this on your whole instrument or just your mouthpiece/headjoint/reed

Tonguing

When the ping pong ball hits the paddle:

  • say "too"

  • whisper "too"

  • tongue multiple notes on your mouthpiece/headjoint/reed

Siren Buzz

"Weeee Oooooh"

Higher, tighter

Lower, looser

Rollercoaster Buzz
