Based on Vermont's Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework, schools in MVSD implement a tiered instructional approach in order to support each and every student to succeed academically and socially. Our goal is for all students to have access to high quality classroom based instruction with supplemental instruction provided to students experiencing challenges.
Our system includes a range of services provided by our professional and support staff, including Classroom Teachers, Literacy and Math Interventionists, Special Educators, Occupational and Physical Therapists, mental health and behavioral professionals, academic and behavioral support staff, Speech and Language Pathologists and an English Learner Teacher. Services are provided at Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and may be accessed as short to longer term support such as classroom based intervention, or as described in an Educational Support Plan, 504 Plan or through Special Education.
