Working on Wellness is a new unified arts at Merrimack Valley School District. This Unified arts class is instructed by district wide elementary counselors. In Working on Wellness, students learn important skills that help them grow into healthy, confident, and caring individuals. Each week, children take part in fun activities, games, and discussions that encourage them to:
Understand themselves – recognize their feelings, strengths, and ways to stay positive.
Manage challenges – practice calming strategies, setting goals, and making healthy choices.
Show respect for others – learn about kindness, empathy, and seeing different points of view.
Build friendships – practice cooperation, communication, and working through problems.
Make good decisions – think through choices that affect their health, safety, and relationships.
These lessons connect with our state health standards and support students in developing lifelong habits for their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Our goal is to give children tools they can use every day—whether at school, at home, or in the community.
