Did you forget your MVHS Chromebook today? You can check one out from the MVHS Library to use at school. Just be sure to return it before you leave campus so that it's available for others tomorrow.
Is your computer not working correctly? Did something break? Bring it by the MVHS Library so that it can be fixed. In the meanwhile, you'll be provided with a short-term loaner to use while your computer is in the shop.
How much does it cost?
Most fixes are free! There is no charge for any labor/work; many technical problems are solved with just a little bit of time and expertise.
Only parts cost $$$. Broken screens, trackpads & keyboards can all be replaced for the cost of the new part. The charge will appear in your Skyward account to be paid at your convenience at any time before graduation. Payments can be made in person or over the phone with Ms. Duncan in the ASB Office; they can also be made online through Skyward Family Access.
Screen Replacement = $45
Keyboard/Trackpad Replacement = $70
Unrepairable Damage/Lost Device Replacement = $275
Unfortunately, the MVHS Library does not offer day loans for USB-C chargers. Your teacher should have a few to borrow (and keep) in the classroom as a temporary solution. However, you need your own charger that you can use at home to keep your chromebook ready for learning at school each day.
Have you lost or broken your chromebook charger? A replacement charger from the MVHS Library is available for $20 (district cost).
Is your charger malfunctioning (not through misuse or avoidable damage)? Bring it to the MVHS Library for repair/replacement.
You may wish to purchase your own replacement charger at a lower cost--or just buy an extra to have on hand in your backpack. An online search will give you many options at a lower price. Be sure to search for a charger that is:
USB-C
Intended for chromebook use (usually lower wattage)
Campatible with the brand of your MVHS chromebook (HP, Lenovo, etc.)
