iPads are used mainly in K-1 classrooms but may be found in other areas based on specific needs of the program. Classrooms with a full set of devices should assign a numbered device to each student.
Chromebooks Carts are being placed in all classrooms throughout the district as a part of a roll out. Although students do not take home Chromebooks from the class cart, Chromebooks should be numbered and students should be assigned a Chromebook in each of their classes.
By default all classrooms will have a teacher station that is a desktop PC.
Laptops are sometimes assigned to teachers who are more mobile and who are required to use programs that can not work on a Chromebook. Please direct requests for mobile devices to your supervisor.
Audio Enhancement Systems are being placed in all general ed elementary classrooms as a part of a district wide roll out.
Each classroom has a LCD projector installed. Most of the projectors are short throw, but in some cases other solutions are used such as a mobile projector or TV screen.
Each classroom has a Document Camera which can be projected using the LCD Projector. There is Document Cameras software available upon request. When connected with a USB, the document cameras provide many other functions besides just projecting a document.
In general the equipment is assigned to classrooms not to individual teachers. If a teacher changes classroom, they can expect this general classroom set up in their new classroom.
