About Me
I live close to the school with my wife, our three crazy boys, and our dog. I went to high school in Craigmont, Idaho, before moving onto Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) where I studied Secondary Education English with a Spanish language minor. I also played football for the Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers during my time at LCSC. Before coming to teach and coach at Meadows Valley, I worked for Highland High School in Craigmont, Idaho, where I coached football, substituted, and led the strength and conditioning program. I am passionate about teaching, coaching, and living in this small town community. You'll see me at most sporting events, whether I am coaching or cheering. I am currently coaching football in McCall as a part of our co-op and taking the lead on our track and field program.
Class Overview
My classroom is centered around how we can use our voices to impact the lives of those around us. This question is one that inevitably comes up in every unit that we go over, and it has been helpful in guiding us through both analyzing the English language and evaluating how we can create positive or negative change. While we spend plenty of time exploring the more traditional aspects of literature, we also try to branch out to more practical facets that students can see more immediate value in, such as with professional, academic, and formal writing styles.
