Making the News

We submerged ourselves in the news, reading it in class everyday and getting the opportunity to create our own. Students had the choice to analyze whatever topics they chose, but we made sure to cover most genres. The bulk of our reading and writing was in editorials, or opinion articles. We also had news circles, which is where we discussed the articles and furthered what we learned from our Socratic project.
