Many thanks to all who helped make this virtual tour a success. Special thanks to our amazing and talented videographer, Richard Fowler, for sharing his skills and talents with us. Covid quarantine may have kept us apart, but nothing stops God from telling the story of his Son's birth.

You can review these shops for ideas on how to develop your character role.

Volunteers needed:
December 6 45+ people Decorate the shops, set up the sanctuary, set up the cider booth and check burners and supplies, test sound and lights, fill propane tanks, cover entry and sanctuary carpets with protective film, put up signs for parking and overflow parking, check specialty props for nativity and city, prepare candy canes for handouts, get fish out of freezer for fish shop, prep meal for opening night cast and crew, review safety and parking procedures, check role assignments, set up donation boxes, set up envelopes to pay police officers, dress camels, etc.
Weekdays December 9-12 2-8 people
Pack up props and prepare bins for return to attic.
December 13 12-18 people
Take down the city. Move props to barn and nativity stage.

Shop Set up on Saturday Morning December 6 at 9:00 a.m.
All Shopkeepers and anyone else is needed to get the shops set up. Please arrive ready to decorate the city shops.
If you have an extra ladder, please bring it with you.
Label any tools you bring.
We are closing in on the opening performance.
Costumes are available nightly at 5:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. Except Roman Soldiers-- they are in the youth room downstairs in church.
If you are a shopkeeper or townsperson and are working more than one time you may keep your costume for the duration of your role.
Nativity people need to be in Fellowship Hall no later than 5:45 as your costumes have extra parts and take time to put on.
EVERYONE:
Please be in the Sanctuary nightly by 6:40 p.m. for instructions and prayer.
Volunteers need to park in the annex field (the farmhouse behind the church) Access to the field is from church parking lot until 6:15 p.m. or Trickum Road.
Food: Please be respectful of our kitchen crew's time and hard work. Clean up after yourself and/or your children.

A light snack supper will be available until 6:15 p.m. On Monday evening we will have a more substantial meal as many are coming straight from work.
Menu for the performances will be posted in the Fellowship Hall. Please let us know if you have any allergies or diet restrictions. We will try to accommodate your needs but you may want to bring special foods for your needs.
We will be serving lunch after the shops are decorated on Saturday opening day.
Hot soups will be available after the Preschool morning performance.
Shopkeepers:
Check in with Cindy Thorne, for Shop assignments and any questions about shops.
We have sample scripts online and a trifold in the fellowship hall has them as well.
Please bring you r OWN insulated cup with you into the city. Hot Chocolate and coffee will be available in Fellowship Hall for you to take to the city.
Dress according to the weather. It looks good overall but you can get cold staying outside for two hours or more.
Do not leave your shop until after the Roman Soldiers have passed your shop at the end of the night.
Cover your shop tables with plastic tablecloths provided.
DO NOT leave open food on display.
Liquids will freeze if temperature is low. put in insulated container or bring into the fellowship hall.
Children under 12 must be with an adult.
If you need a break please let city manager know so she can arrange a stand in for you.
Use restrooms in church before exiting for opening.
Return bartered items to original shops each evening.
Do not give coins to children or visitors.
Remember to stay in character.
These visitors are our guests but you do not need to be treated rudely. Call for the Roman soldiers for help if guests get too difficult.
We have taken every measure to ensure your safety and the safety of our guests. Do not try to handle it by yourself. If you have concerns contact the city manager, centurion or Roman soldiers.
Lost Parents: direct children to synagogue /storyteller's shop and we will locate parents.
Lost Children: get as clear a description as possible and name. We have had an outstanding return rate of usually no more than 5 minutes.
