Students (11th-12th grade) who are accepted into Mustang Blended participate in a learning model that blends both virtual (Edgenuity) and traditional (face-to-face) school settings.
See below for details:
Students (11th-12th grade) who are accepted into Mustang Blended participate in a learning model that blends both virtual (Edgenuity) and traditional (face-to-face) school settings. Students must provide their own device and connectivity. Examples of Blended Learning include virtual classes plus concurrent classes, virtual classes with some classes (electives, lab classes, etc.) in a face-to-face environment, etc.
A Blended Learning Program “blends” traditional classes with virtual classes offered to students beginning in the ninth grade. A “Blended Learner” is enrolled in both traditional and virtual courses taught and directed by an MPS instructor. If eligible, the student may work on his/her virtual courses at home, but at least one course is taken at school in a traditional classroom. The Blended Learning option is a minimum of a one semester commitment. Transportation is not provided, but will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian or student.
Edgenuity is a content management system that provides an online/digital learning curriculum for students who wish to learn in a fulltime virtual classroom setting.
HERE is an introductory video featuring MHS teacher, Mrs. K, that explains a bit more about Edgenuity and what you can expect.
The Edgenuity login site is: https://www.edgenuity.com/login/
Be sure to familiarize yourself with the Canvas/SeeSaw information above as well.
More information will be coming from the school sites.

must meet attendance/completion requirements.
Visit the parent portal under forms for the application while it is open before each semester begins. There is a limited number of spots available. Once the application window closes, please contact Principal Greg Frederick at frederickg@mustangps.org and he can answer any questions you might have.
Mustang Blended (11th-12 only) - Yes! Students may participate in extracurricular activities and/or clubs in Mustang Public Schools. For some activities, the student may need to be enrolled in a traditional class such as football or choir in order to participate in competitions or contests. Students also need to maintain eligibility according to OSSAA in order to participate in games or contests.
Depending on the level of community spread, all athletics and activities will continue as planned with extra measures taken to ensure the safety of students and staff. Additional measures may be implemented as needed.
Additional Clarification: Clubs/Activities would be options through Traditional or Blended. Per OSSAA regulations, students must enroll in and attend at least one (1) period during a school day in order to be eligible for participation. If a high school student wants to participate in these activities, they would just need to apply for Blended with the hour on campus/in-person being their sport/activity to be eligible to participate.
No, AP courses are not offered at this time.
We are aware that some students may not be accepted as a blended learner. Please contact your school, and they should be able to help.
For students/families who are new to Mustang, Central Enrollment will help with the next steps.
