About Ms. Hsiung:

My name is Ms. Hsiung, and I will be your 5th Grade teacher this year!  I grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, and moved to San Jose, CA when I was 5 years old. I completed my K-12 schooling in San Jose Unified School District. I received my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in the environmental sciences, along with minors in music and education. After a couple of years of working in the legal field, I went on to complete my Masters in Education from Stanford University in 2018. This is my sixth year in Milpitas Unified School District; I love working in MUSD because of the collaborative and tight-knit community of teachers, administrators, parents, and students!

In my free time, I enjoy eating brunch, running half marathons, going on long hikes (to Tahoe or Yosemite), singing on road trips, traveling to Asia, building legos, and playing with my dog, Mei Mei. 

I look forward to an uplifting and empowering year together. Go Spartans!
