Hello,

My name is Adriana Cruz.  I was born and raised in San Jose. I attended Evergreen Elementary School District for K-8 and East Side Union High School District for high school. This is my second year teaching. I did my Bachelor's, Credentials, and Master's at San Jose State University. I decided to be a teacher because I enjoy learning and have always admired teachers growing up. I also wanted to be a positive role model for all students, especially students of color. I want learning to come from the diverse cultures and languages that each of your students comes with. I am an advocate for home to school connection, so I try to incorporate their background knowledge to create stepping stones in order to close the gap.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy watching movies, doing puzzles, coloring, visiting Disneyland, and spending time with my family.
