Can you commit 2 hours to supporting a PTA sponsored event this school year? With everyone's help, we can expand our reach! All PTA programs require volunteer participation to ensure their success. Some are annual events, while others are introduced each year based on available funds and needs.
The PTA hosts two Scholastic book fairs during the school year. The first occurs in the fall, typically in December, while the second is a BOGO (Buy One Get One Free) Book Fair held in late April or early May. These book fairs run for one week, allowing kids and parents to purchase books using cash or e-Wallet.

Free book coupons are distributed to the teachers, who also have the opportunity to fill out their wish lists.

The PTA accepts donations of old or new books for this event. Feel free to drop them off at the office anytime.

PBIS Rewards is a digital management solution for PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) that helps schools teach appropriate behavior.

MOEMS® offers monthly problem-solving contests for elementary and middle school students. For elementary students, it covers grades 4th through 6th. Each month, they provide five contests with detailed solutions, featuring five questions each. These unique problem sets must be administered monthly from November through March. The PTA has registered one team and is conducting online classes to teach the participants, culminating in an in-person administration of the online test at school.

The National PTA Reflections program is an arts recognition and achievement program for students. It encourages students to unleash their creative talents, express themselves, experience the fun and joy of making art, tap into critical thinking skills, and receive positive recognition.

Staff Appreciation Week is hosted by the PTA every year in the month of May. Instead of limiting the celebration to just a day and thanking only the teachers, we extend it to a week and include all staff members in our school.

Growth Mindset Assembly
Growth Mindset Assembly
Dr. Blake Brandes has delivered Growth Mindset and Grit presentations to more than 500,000 students, educators, and parents around the world. An award-winning freestyle rapper and beatboxer, he gave a presentation to Spangler students on February 2nd during a school assembly, and the kids absolutely loved the program.
Sky Dome Planetarium
Sky Dome Planetarium
A 45-minute journey through the universe was conducted in an inflatable planetarium on February 15th. The kids were very excited about it. During the journey, students learned how to identify every planet in our solar system through dramatic "flights" towards each world.
