We are working on Growth Mindset this year and we will be challenging your child with different brain challenges. One is Sudoku which uses #s 1-9 and your child can explain how to solve these. Another is Marcy Cook Tiles which use #s 0-9 to solve math problems and have your child think logically and out of the box.
- Currently we are working on algebra and geometry concepts including but not limited to: expressions, equations, inequalities, graphing on the coordinate plane, linear equations, area, perimeter, circumference, and volume.
Here are some links to math units(topics) we cover in 6th grade mathematics. They are listed in the order that we cover them during the course of the school year! Fractions are a huge deal in 6th grade and thus we have also put links to fraction lessons from early grades as well. Feel free to review earlier stuff if you are feeling confused at all!
