High School Digital Platforms

The following are digital platforms that are currently used in our district at the High School Level. This page can serve as a resource to quickly access the platforms by clicking on the images, which are linked directly to the platforms.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is the student learning platform for Miscoe Hill and Nipmuc Regional High School. All teacher resources and learning materials will be posted here.

Google Drive

Google Drive is the cloud-based storage for the majority of student work. Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Forms (etc.) can be accessed here.

Quizlet

Students can use Quizlet to build build flashcards or engage in game-based learning to help master course content.

Pearson eText

Pearson eText provides access to our science and history textbooks.

McGraw - Hill eText

McGraw - Hill provided access to history content in Grades 6-8.

Pearson Realize eText

Pearson Realize is the primary platform for our ELA course content.

IXL

IXL provides supplemental ELA and math skill development for all students in Grades 5 - 8. Students can move at their own pace.

Desmos

Desmos is a comprehensive math and graphic tool that can be used for both independent and collaborative learning.

Edpuzzle

Edpuzzle is a tool for teachers to share interactive video lessons. Videos contain teacher-created checks for understanding throughout the course content.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy offers a wide range of video tutorials and practice questions on a wide range of content areas and topics. Great for independent-interests as well as coursework.


Crash Course

Informative and entertaining videos from John & Hank Green. This resources offers a series of courses with numerous videos on a wide range of topics from Psychology to Physics to Economics to US History.

College Board Website

A one-stop-shop for all resources related to SAT, PSAT and AP testing.

General Interest

  • ***MA PBS Learning Media--Free, standards-aligned videos, interactives, lesson plans, curated by WGBH and PBS to support all families. Registration required at no cost.

  • AP Remote Learning--The College Board is offering free AP review courses beginning on March 25th.

  • Nepris: Join industry chats.

Art

  • Art21.org--Artists' talks about their work and process

  • MetMuseum--Virtual tour of the museum and some of the collections.

Business

  • DECA.org--Students involved in DECA can use this website to continue their work which has detailed information on each project category including guidelines.

  • Code.org-Provides on-hour coding tutorials grades PK-12

  • Newsela- Availability of whole product suite for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year to read up-to-date articles

Math

  • Virtual Nerd-Real math help through virtual video tutorials.

  • Yummy Math-Provides engaging real-world math activities Grades 2-12.

  • Great Minds-Will be posting new math content daily.

  • Learn Zillion-Short (3-10 minute) videos intended for teacher and student use that focuses on targeted concepts and skills and is organized by topic.

  • Estimation 180 Scavenger Hunt--Game for number sense.


Social Sciences

  • AP History Class Webinars--This page offers webinars on AP history related topics.

  • Newsela -- This digital platform provides leveled news articles focused on current events.

  • iCivics -- This site takes a game-based learning approach to teaching students about our legal system, our legislative process and our election structure among other topics. It's a highly engaging way to learn the basics of our democracy.

  • Digital Public Library of America--This website has images, texts, videos, sounds, and text sets from U.S. history.

  • Google Street View Gallery- Take a virtual trip to various destinations around the world.

Physical Education

  • PLT4M.COM--PLT4M is used currently in our physical education classes and can be used at home.

World Languages

  • Duolingo--It is useful for learning a new language, and is fun and entertaining. This service takes a game-like approach to learning. To get started, create a profile and launch a beginner's course, or take a test to move into an advanced lesson.

  • French children's stories--Well-known children's stories translated into French and spoken by a native speaker.

  • Easy Spanish Playlist--A Youtube playlist of Spanish videos.

  • StudySpanish--Provides online services and audio conversations to help learn Spanish.
