Austin is an 8th grade U.S. History teacher at Hopkinsville Middle School. He just finished his 1st year of teaching, but completed his undergrad at Murray State University, where he participated in many practicum hours and a full year of student teaching experience. He's also almost done with my 1st Masters degree in Teacher Leader. Once he completes that, he is going back for his 2nd Masters degree in Administration. He has have two concentrations within Middle School Education, Social Studies and Mathematics. He is not only a teacher, but he is the Head Boys High School Golf Coach at Hopkinsville High School.
Alyssa is going into her 3rd year of teaching. She has taught 7th grade for the past two years, but this next year will be teaching 5th and 6th grade. She resides in Murray, KY where she attended college at Murray State. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Middle School Education in 2020. Alyssa is currently obtaining her masters degree from Murray State in Teacher Leader, graduating in summer of 2022. Teaching is her passion and she hopes to make the world a better place by shaping the minds of the future.
Dione has always loved learning. Even as a child, she was teased a bit when she brought encyclopedia's on the family road trip across the USA. A true life long learner, she has progressed slowly but surely, all while raising 4 kids and working full time 30 + years. While working primarily in early childhood settings, she earned degrees: an Associate (Education) in 1994; Bachelor (Human Development) in 2004 and Master (Teacher Leader) in 2022. Currently, she is honing skills as a Family & Consumer Science educator in middle school (grades 6-8).
Kelley is working on her 16th year in some capacity of education. She lives in Madisonville, KY and is married with two children ages 14 and 18. Her passion for teaching began at an early age. She loved to play school growing up and always wanted to be the teacher. Her father, grandfather, and two aunts are all educators. She graduated with a Bachelor in Elementary Education from Murray State University in 2005. She has taught Kindergarten all the way through GED classes. Her true passion is in middle and high school. She currently works at Hopkins County Alternate Day Treatment teaching grades 6-12. She hopes to spend the remainder of her career as Guidance Counselor in her current school.
McKensey is going into her fifth year of teaching primary elementary school. She is from Owensboro, Kentucky but recently relocated to the Northern Kentucky area. McKensey graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2017 and is currently working on her Master's in Reading and Writing Education at Murray State University. She is passionate about the importance of teaching literacy skills at all grade levels and hopes to be a literacy coach in the future.
Bailey is going into her fourth year of teaching at the elementary school level. She is from Owensboro, Kentucky but relocated three years ago to Mount Carmel, Illinois. Bailey graduated from Murray State University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Bailey is currently seeking her Master's Degree in Teacher Leader at Murray State. Not only is Bailey a full time teacher but also a full time JR high head softball coach. During the school year Bailey does tutoring for the "no zero" policy in place at her school. Bailey would love to someday be an instructional coach in the future.
Kayla is currently working as a full time Speech-Language Pathologist. She has taught at Hickman County Elementary School for 2 years now, which is where she graduated high school from in 2015. After high school, Kayla graduated from Murray State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorder. In 2020, she graduated with her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Murray State University. Kayla is involved with preschool through 3rd grade students, and she helps coach both middle school and high school softball in the fall and spring.
Aaron is going into his 10th year teaching middle school (6th-8th) Social Studies. He completed his Bachelor's of History with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Kentucky, his Master's Degree in Education from Georgetown College and his Rank 1 Master's of Education in Administration from Murray State University. During his career Aaron has coached middle school basketball and archery and high school football.
