Murray State University

 Model United Nations

Our Story

The Murray State Model United Nations Club was founded in September 2013.  The club has since participated in both regional and national competitions. The club equips students with essential skills such as diplomacy, public speaking, and problem solving, while working to solve pressing global issues such as climate change, nuclear nonproliferation, and the relocation of internally displaced persons. Murray State Model UN has a long history of competitiveness and success. Throughout the club's history, students have won awards at the regional and national level for their diplomacy and writing skills.  Murray State Model UN is dedicated to upholding this legacy of success and sharing their skills and knowledge of the international world with other students and the community.

MUN allows for a lot of personal growth as you meet new people, learn new skills, and learn more about different countries. I would encourage everyone to do it. There is so much to gain from Model UN.
