We're making the University of Georgia application process simpler. Students graduating from a Georgia public or private high school can now skip self-reporting grades on the UGA application by sending an official transcript through GAfutures.
Students can submit their transcript to UGA through GAfutures even before the First-Year Application opens on August 1. Using this option helps ensure that UGA Admissions receives the most accurate academic information and can streamline the application review process. To help spread awareness of this new option, UGA Admissions will send an email to prospective students next week with instructions on how to submit a transcript through GAfutures.
Please encourage students who plan to apply to UGA to submit their transcript through their GAfutures account. To do so, students should sign in to their GAfutures account, select "My High School Transcript," and send it to the University of Georgia. GAfutures also provides a quick reference guide with step-by-step instructions.
Please note that once a student indicates on their UGA application that they will send a GAfutures transcript, a transcript checklist item will be added to their application file. The application cannot be reviewed until the transcript is received through GAfutures.
We hope this streamlined process saves you time by eliminating the need to explain self-reporting grades to students. We appreciate your partnership in helping students navigate the application process and encourage you to share this opportunity with students seeking the simplest way to submit their academic record to UGA.

Make sure to ask your counselor, teacher, administrator, community member, etc if they would be able to write you a strong letter of recommendation.
Use this Brag Sheet to help your recommender write the best recommendation letter possible.
Make sure to say thank you!
**Educators/Recommenders, here's an epic Spotify playlist to help you through the grind of writing those letters! Enjoy!** 🥳💻
The local scholarship is for current seniors only and is due to Mrs. Ehman by Friday January 29, 2027 at 3pm. You can either submit a completed paper copy to her, or you can email her your completed copy at macey.ehman@murray.k12.ga.us
**Please do not staple your papers together. Use a paper clip instead.
**Please type your information so that it is easier to read. Applications in pencil or even pen often do not scan well.
**Make sure that you put any major that you're interested in or might possibly major in, even if you are undecided. This helps the MCHS scholarship committee when passing along local scholarships to outside scholarship committees who want to see applications of specific majors (i.e. Education, Business, etc).
**The local scholarship packet is for EVERY senior - not just those seniors who are college bound. There are MANY scholarships for students who are going into the trades and even some for students going into the military and workforce. When in doubt, fill it out!
**Make sure to also include copies of your acceptance letters, military enlistment paperwork, job offers, etc.
The information below regarding class meeting slides, Senior Year at a Glance, and Jostens ordering links will be updated ASAP over the summer. Thank you so much for your patience!
Seniors, your counselor will begin holding senior meetings in October. Please review this Senior Meeting Packet prior to your senior meeting. We will continuously update this folder all year with pertinent information! Your counselor will email you regarding your senior meeting date and time, and it will be based on your electives.
**Please be patient as we update this packet for the Class of 2027**
