Køge Business College is a major regional Educational Institution, which develops educational programs on many levels in close collaboration with businesses. KBC provides education and training to 1800 students, 500 are in VET department and has around 210 staff mostly teachers and teaching consultants with an administration of normal size. KBC has a high cultural diversity hosting students from different backgrounds and countries, so we value multiculturalism and tolerance.We are open to community, organizing and participating in events involving different members, disseminating all activities and projects developed by our students. We want to guide students towards a personal, professional harmonious development and an active European citizenship and social inclusion. KBC has experience of working within an international setting and sharing, communicating effectively with colleagues across Europe. All our staff is involved to some extent in international education, in transnational projects and programs and we encourage in our students global citizenship, an awareness of the world around them, peace and international understanding.
For many years Denmark has established an efficient waste management system that has been improved continuously in many areas and waste management system in Denmark is one of the best in the world. We aim to raise awareness of pupils about sustainable consumption, promoting environmental protection. Our pupils have to be educated of tomorrow’s world in order to be more responsible about the way they use resources, in order to be able to thrive in tomorrow's world. We want to contribute to the project's goal and objectives of reducing waste across Europe. We would like to find the way - without waste in the vision of a cleaner, healthier and greener Europe boosting its growth and development.
This partnership would bring a great contribution to prepare the necessary generations with open-minded mentality and with a better understanding of others cultures and other people’s needs and requirements. Key staff participating in the project: Irina Grauengaard, project coordinator, has excellent organizational and communication skills, much experience having led ComeniusandGrundtvig projects. Starting as a coordinator of the SOCRATES program in 2002, she coordinated many Comenius, Grundtvig projects for 15 years in Lithuania. Now she is a project coordinator of Erasmus+KA229 and KA204 projects in our school.
Finn Arvid Olsson is Head of political, strategic and economic planning and the project and development devision. He is specialist in working with quality assurance in VET, evaluation, coaching and transcultural teaching. He has 25 years of experience in transnational projects and relation building. Finn Arvid is MA in History and has been working in the Danish Ministry of Education.
