Re-entry Permit
Students who plan to leave the country or spend their holidays outside of Thailand must apply for a single or multiple re-entry permit before departure. Otherwise, their current visa will be invalidated and they will have to go through the whole process of obtaining the proper student visa at a Thai Embassy or Consulate outside Thailand.
The re-entry permit can be completed at the local Immigration Bureau or the immigration checkpoint at an international airport. We recommend students apply for the re-entry permit after their visa extension if they have a plan to return to their home countries or travel to other countries during quarter breaks. However, if they want to apply for the re-entry permit at the airport, they have to be sure to arrive early and have extra time for the process so that they do not miss their flights.
There are two kinds of re-entry permits:
Single Re-Entry Permit: This allows students to return to Thailand on the same visa once. If they want to leave the country again, they will need to obtain another permit. (Fee 1,000 THB)
Multiple Re-Entry Permit: This allows students to leave and re-enter Thailand freely for the duration of their current visa. (Fee 3,800 THB)
