Dear Advisory Families,
My name is Haley Davis, and I am honored to be your sophomore's advisory teacher. Your student will be in my class until graduation, and my goal is to be an advocate and a support for your child in their time at Mingus. I am a passionate teacher who cares deeply about my students as individuals, so I am looking forward to getting to know you and your Marauder over these next four years. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about any of the following information.
This school year, we have a few different bell schedules we follow. You can find the bell schedules below and on the Mingus website. Advisory is a graded class, and as long as your student participates with our content and one another, turns in their classwork, and maintains a D or better, they will earn credit and pass. Everything I have generated with the other 10th grade Advisory teachers is meant to benefit your student as a first-year high school student, so I will do everything in my power to demonstrate the "why" for each assignment. None of it is busy work!
As always, I am your connection to Mingus, so never hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.Â
Cheers!
Ms. Davis
