Pre-season and Drum Major Auditions
Spring rehearsals are spent playing and practicing to help the group get to know one another. Starting after Spring Break, we will have Wednesday Night Rehearsals from 6 to 8 PM, both indoors and outdoors safety and weather pending.
We'll work on stand tunes, the new show music, and the veteran musicians will help the 8th graders get comfortable with the high school norms of band playing.
We will provide all those who would like a chance to audition for drum major the time to do so.
While these practices are not mandatory, those who wish to audition for drum major, stand a much higher chance to be selected if they are present for these times.

Summertime
In the beginning of June, we'll have a MANDATORY meeting for all members and families on June 8th to share expectations, the schedule, band camp, and the upcoming season.
After graduation, we'll have weekly, evening summer rehearsals to continue to work on music and marching technique, team building activities, and work on leadership skills. Summer rehearsals will often be Wednesday nights from 6 to 8 PM as well.
The more of these rehearsals that are attended by the greater part of the band, the better chances the band will have to grow and learn music BEFORE band camp.
Band Camp!
Band Camp is the first full week of August (this year it starts on August 5th), but is planned the week before the start of fall sports to allow for those students to practice. Band Camp is the most crucial time for the entire band to be present as we will learn the entire show. Band camp is from 8:00AM to 3:00 PM with a lunch break. Attendance is mandatory, please see the director immediately if an issue arises.
There are often two or three more weeks of evening rehearsals for time to prep for the first scheduled game of the season. These rehearsals are scheduled from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.
During the Main Season
Once school starts, a routine weekly practice will be from 7:00PM to 9:00PM for the remainder of the season.
Games are Every Friday Starting sometime in the end of Fall.
The band will often participate in a few parades and a possible marching exhibition.
