Mr. Nathan Mohler - Band Director
Hello! My name is Nathan Mohler, Band Director here at Muhlenberg High School. I started teaching music in the fall of 2009 after graduating from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. During my first year, I taught general music to students in grades K through 8. In the summer of 2010, I accepted an elementary beginning band position with the Indian River School District in Southern Delaware. In October of 2014, I began directing the high school band in the same district. It was then that I realized I wanted to further strengthen my knowledge and instruction in music. In the summer of 2016, I started at the American Band College of Central Washington University in Ashland, Oregon. In the summer of 2018, I graduated with a Master of Music in Music Education. After one more incomparable year, I was ready to come home to teach music in Berks County. I have been teaching here at MHS since Fall of 2019.
A Kutztown native, I am happy to be living here in Berks County with my wife and two sons. Teaching at Muhlenberg High School is both a privilege and an honor, and I couldn't be happier. I direct the Blue Band, Jazz Band and "The Spoilers", the Marching Band, and of course The Blue Steel Drum Ensemble. I am also pleased to be team teaching Major Music with Mr. Bill Snelling. Go Muhls!
