As part of our Teacher Technology Leader Program, our 2nd to 8th grade TTL Chromebook teachers receive a cart of HP 14-inch Chromebooks for their class. This is part of our LCAP's 1:1 Student Technology Initiative.
Teachers are given the opportunity to attend monthly TTL Workshops of various topics with the intention of building their capacity and increasing technology integration within their classroom.
Damaged screen? Broken keys? Touchpad not working properly? If any of these issues sound like something your device might be going through, then you may need intervention. If your device is in need of repair, the first thing you need to fill out is the MyTechDesk ticket. Then you, or your Computer Tech, can complete this online Chromebook Repair Request form and bring the damaged device to the District Office to be sent out for repair. Click on the icon to the right.
Extensions are small software programs that customize the browsing experience. They enable users to tailor Chrome browser functionality and behavior to individual needs or preferences.
Our featured Chrome Extension is Mercury Reader. 'Clear away the clutter from all your articles. Instantly.' This Chrome extension does exactly that. It removes all the distraction, such as advertisements, from any web page. It leaves a nice, clean, consistent view of only the text and images. For teachers, you can have students click on this extension when they are doing research or viewing any web page to clear all the clutter, so they can focus on the content.
