Mount Saint Charles Academy uses Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) to enhance teaching, learning, collaboration, and real-time assessment. Teachers receive professional development in digital tools and blended learning strategies to ensure that instruction remains excellent and innovative. Students are expected to develop digital citizenship and responsible technology use as they apply these tools to their academic work.
Technology is treated as a tool to support learning, not a replacement for strong teaching. Our goal is to prepare students for the dynamic digital environment they will encounter beyond the classroom.
Students are required to "Bring Their Own Device" to support their learning.
Mount Saint Charles Academy encourages families to provide students with devices that support learning both in and out of the classroom. We support a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) model and recognize that families may choose to purchase new or repurpose existing laptops.
Please note: To ensure compatibility with our academic platforms—including Google Workspace, Blackbaud, Savvas, and other web-based tools—Google Chrome is the only supported browser. All student devices must have Chrome installed and kept up to date.
Note on Tablets and iPads
Tablets and iPads—even with keyboard attachments—are not recommended as primary devices.
Many academic platforms and testing tools used at Mount are not fully compatible with mobile operating systems.
