The ringing of the bells is one of Mount’s most monumental traditions. At the bell ringing ceremony for new students, the bell tolls as students process through an applauding honor guard of faculty and staff. Coming full circle, on their graduation day, the bell tolls once again for students on their last day at Mount as they process to the gymnasium to accept their diplomas.
Hospitality, availability, personal interest, and concern for others are hallmarks of the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Hearing the bells toll as your family enters our school in the same way our graduates do on their graduation day is just a sampling of the traditions we have at the Academy.
In addition to the important tradition of bell ringing, this event allows an informal opportunity for families and students to say "hello" to teachers and visit classrooms.
Students are not required to wear their school uniforms for this event. Dress is business casual.
