Welcome!
My name is Ms. Kelly Vucin, and I’m thrilled to be your teacher for the 2025–2026 school year! This will be my 19th year teaching third grade, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue doing what I love. Last year, I was deeply honored to be named Educator of the Year at VES — a recognition that reflects my dedication and care.
I consider my classroom my home away from home and work hard to create a warm, inclusive space where every student feels welcomed, valued, and supported. Together, we’ll build a strong classroom community through our shared experiences, celebrations, challenges, and growth.
Outside the classroom, I’m a traveler at heart. I’ve been lucky enough to explore countries like Spain, Iceland, Portugal, Poland, Costa Rica, Italy, the Netherlands, and Belgium. These journeys have given me a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and taught me life lessons I carry into my teaching. I’m especially excited to learn about your travels, backgrounds, and family traditions, too!
I’m also passionate about the arts. Since the age of six, I’ve loved singing, dancing, and acting. Performing brings me so much joy, and I’ve been lucky to share that passion through our school’s Music From the Heart productions. Co-directing Once Upon a Mattress last year was a particular highlight.
VES is truly a special place. I continue to be amazed by the growth and transformation I see in my students from September to June. It takes a village, and I’m so grateful to be part of yours this year. I know this will be a meaningful, memorable year for all of us!
