About the Directors


Brad Feigles is currently in his nineteenth year in the Mequon-Thiensville School District where he serves as Director of Middle School Bands (Lake Shore and Steffen) and assists with the Elementary Band Program. 

Prior to his arrival in Mequon, Mr. Feigles directed the Varsity and Concert Bands at Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He also served on the Kenosha Unified School District elementary instrumental music staff and was a director of the summer Band of the BlackWatch marching and concert program. He has also held high school teaching positions in Walker, Louisiana, where he was named the 1999 High School Teacher of the Year, and Fox Lake, Illinois. 

Mr. Feigles holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Louisiana State University where he studied conducting with Frank Wickes, trombone with Larry Campbell and music education with  James Byo. In addition, he earned a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he studied conducting with Thomas Dvorak.

Mr. Feigles was twice a conducting participant in the Band Conductor’s Art symposium with H. Robert Reynolds. He has also conducted/participated in MasterClass with conductors/composers Jack Stamp and Mark Camphouse. In 2023 and 2024, he collaborated with Atlanta-based composer Tyler S. Grant to commission Under the Ice for the MTSD Symphonic Band.

Mr. Feigles is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. In addition to his school responsibilities, he maintains a small trombone studio. In 2012, he was honored by being named an Outstanding Educator in the Mequon-Thiensville School District.
