Q:What is the future of the MRU vLab?
A: The intention is to build upon the vLabs' success and continue to deliver apps in a flexible and convenient online format, empowering students and faculty whether on or off campus.
Q:Can Adobe Creative Cloud suite be added to the vLab?
A:Not at this time. Our current licensing model does not support running Adobe CC in a vLab type environment.
Q: I logged into the portal but when attempting to open a vLab desktop I receive the "Session Disconnected" message.
A: This is due to an issue with your vLab profile - please contact the IT Service Desk to have them fix it.

Q:I'm attempting to use the upload/download utility but they are greyed out?
A: This is due to an issue with your vLab profile - please contact the IT Service Desk to have them fix it.
Q: Can I use ZIP files in the vLab?
A: Yes. The vLab has a zip file program built in that allows you to zip and unzip files as needed in the vLab.
Q: If I share my screen with others using the Share Screen utility, what can they see?
A: Users you share your screen with using the Share Screen utility will only see the vLab desktop. Users cannot see your local desktop, nor can they see the vLab utility bar.
Q: I have multiple files that need to be uploaded/downloaded to/from the vLab, how do I best go about this?
A: You can zip these files up into one zip file, use the upload/download utility to transfer that zip file and then unzip that file at the destination.
Q: I can’t view the whole screen or menu options are not fully visible on my screen, what do I do?
A: Use the Full Screen option within the utility bar at the top. This will maximise your vLab desktop screen to make everything on the vLab desktop visible.
