Equity, Diversity & InClusion

We strive to create a respectful, integrative, and supportive learning environment, and promote the involvement of underrepresented students in STEM. We acknowledge that equity, diversity, and inclusion enrich our community and drive excellence and innovation.

Land Acknowledgment

Mount Royal University is located in the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai, Tsuut'ina, and Iyarhe Nakoda. We are situated on land where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. The traditional Blackfoot name of this place is "Mohkinstsis," which we now call the city of Calgary. The city of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation.

Why we love Calgary

Calgary is the sunniest city in Canada and was named as the most liveable city in North America! The city has several beautiful local parks along the glacier-fed Bow and Elbow rivers, each with a unique experience to offer. Calgary is also located an hour away from the stunning Canadian Rocky Mountains!
