Alberta Council of Women's Shelters:

Leading Change Expansion Pack

The most common form of domestic violence, coercive-controlling violence, has its roots, in part, in gender norms and stereotypes that permeate our culture.

The Leading Change Expansion Pack is a call to action from the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters to help engage men of all ages to become positive role models and equipped bystanders.

Free and filled with activities, information and tools to help men "level up" and help end gender-based violence, the pack can be ordered at www.leadingchangepack.ca"

Spearheaded by the Alberta Council of Women's Shelters, the Leading Change Expansion Pack is a new, free, subscription box designed for men to use at home to expand their knowledge with a series of guided activities to "level up" and help end gender-based violence in our province.

In the age of #metoo and other social media movements, men who are not likely abusive themselves are curious about their role to:

  • create positive change

  • contribute to cultivating a safer world for the women in their lives

  • be willing to do some self-exploration and do more
